CYLO collects and processes your email address and policy details to verify your identity and display your cyber risk profile. Your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely in AWS.

We share relevant data with the following trusted third parties as part of delivering our service:

UpGuard — your domain and organisation details are shared with UpGuard to generate your security rating and risk assessments.

Aegis Assurance — if you choose to raise a security consultancy request, your contact details, security score, and active risk information will be shared with Aegis Assurance to facilitate their response.

We do not sell your data or share it with any parties beyond those described above.

How to Read Your Cyber Risk Profile

Understand your security score, risk categories, active risks, and how to act on what matters most.

Your Security Score
What the number means

Your security score is a number between 0 and 950 calculated by UpGuard based on external scans of your organisation's digital assets — websites, domains, email configuration, network exposure, and more. A higher score means fewer vulnerabilities detected.

The Score Trend shows how your score changed over the past 12 months. A positive trend means your security posture is improving.

Use the time tabs above the score chart to compare your security rating at different points in time. Clicking a tab shows what your score was at that point and how it compares to your current score. The chart always displays all four data points so you can see your trend at a glance.
Policy Details
Your insurance policy information
The Policy Details card shows your active CYLO cyber insurance policy — including your policy number, insured name, start and end dates, and your broker. If your policy is expiring within 60 days, an alert will appear above this card reminding you to renew. If it expires within 14 days the alert turns red.

CAA records, DNSSEC, domain configuration.
Network Security
Open ports, exposed services, firewall configuration.
Email Security
SPF, DKIM, DMARC records — protection against email spoofing.
IP Reputation
Whether your IPs appear on blacklists or have a history of malicious activity.
Attack Surface
Exposed assets, subdomains, and externally discoverable infrastructure.
Data Leakage
Credentials, sensitive data, or internal information found in public sources.
The trend arrow (↑↓) next to each category shows how that category's score changed over the past month. A green ↑ means improvement.
Risk Severity Levels
How to prioritise your risks
Critical The most severe vulnerabilities, posing an immediate, significant risk to your security. Address these first, before any other issue.
High Serious vulnerabilities that directly impact your security score and increase your exposure to attack. Address these as a priority.
Medium Moderate issues that have a meaningful impact on your score. Should be resolved in your next security review cycle.
Low Minor issues with limited impact. Worth addressing but not urgent.
Info Informational observations only. These do not affect your security score and are not counted as failed checks — they are shown for your awareness.
Active Risks
Understanding your failed checks
The Active Risks section lists every security check that has failed for your domain. Each risk includes a title, description, why it matters, and how to fix it — tap any row to expand the detail. You can filter risks by category using the dropdown at the top of the page, or by clicking a category cell directly. Use the ✕ Clear filter button that appears in the Active Risks header to reset the filter without scrolling back up.
